As of the first quarter, 2002, through our affiliation with Free Trade Textiles of New York, Prismatic Dyeing & Finishing, Inc. received the unique authorization from the United States Department of Commerce to operate as a Free Trade Zone offering in-zone manufacturing. Using this special permit, our customers may ship and land offshore greige goods without duties or tariffs. These goods may be processed in our facility, again without duties or tariffs. The manufactured goods are eligible for export under U.S. duty-exempt status. It is not uncommon for customers to save 15% more on duty and an additional 10% on griege cost, no quota issues, quick delivery, dyed to U.S. specification. Under our authority, cloth can be moved to other facilities for secondary processing while maintaining their duty free status. The goods may be processed and held for up to one year prior to re-export, without incurring any duty or tariffs. For more information, please contact us.

By early 2003, our wide goods plant expansion in dyeing & finishing will be operational to accommodate 130” greige goods with up to 126” width finishing. Applications include engineered fabrics, geo-textiles, filtration, government styles, full width bedding, and doublewide panels for windows. We welcome the opportunity to bring innovative solutions to your specific market needs.
